Default HDTV Component

some say that hd-dvd and blu-ray will not have HDTV Component only HDMI or DVI/HDCP inputs . i have a link of a hd dvd player that have HDTV Component http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articl...gallery06.html.

No - it has been said that there will not be HDTV output over component. There is no info there that indicates that HDTV will be output over that component connection - unless I'm missing something.

ok, i have a NEC HT410 Projector http://www.projectorcentral.com/NEC-HT410.htm can i use this for blu-ray? no hdmi or dvi.

There is no public announcement yet - plenty of rumours, I guess we will find out within a few months. Note the HDMI output next to the component out.

You can. Even if the rumours are true and HD can only be over HDMI - It won't impact you as the native resolution of your projector is SD (854x480) so even if it had HDMI it will still have to down convert to 854x480. However the difference in quality from Blu Ray vs normal DVD will be marginal - if at all. The advantage is that at least all the disks you buy will be future proofed for some time to come.
