Default Cars on Blu-ray November 6th

Over on Hollywood in Hi-Def it says cars to "DeBlu" Nov 6th.

Lasseter took a hands on approach and has a BD-J feature that will allow you to search just about every car in the Movie!

This is great news. Disney animation will definitely help drive player and software sales!

BTW, Hollywood in High Def is actually a pretty cool site. Scott's a great proponent of the format, but he still manages to remain objective and just calls it like he sees it. Kind of reminds me of Bill Hunt's approach. I love the way he's handled the HD-DVD zealots so far. Very tactful and sticks to the facts.

This should help the Blu cause the DVD was a great looking disk I can't imagine what it would look like on a 1080P display. I only have a 1080i display damn.

Unless you sit really close to your TV, 1080i should be just fine. Concerning Cars, this is good news. JL is well known for his attention to detail and quality. I can't wait for all the Pixar movies to be released.

Pixar has never let me down yet

You know, they're starting to get Jake Sisko syndrome

Every time I see something that looks like it's going to be horrible, it manages genius

Ratatouille was a glorious film, but I never thought it'd work period

Default Big movies and firm release dates

This should get a lot of parents of younger children thinking about buying a Blu Ray player for Christmas. There have been a lot of people asking about when "Cars" will come out, releasing it around Christmas time I am sure was no accident. I think you will see a lot of big movies finally get a firm date of release the closer we get to Christmas.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do release Ratatouille onto Blu-ray Disc before Christmas. The only reason why there's still no release date is because they haven't announced one for the DVD edition yet.
