Default I'm I just crazy HDMI?

I have never bought into monster cable's bs until I seen this cable:

Monster M2000 HDMI Hyper Speed 21 Gbps v1.3 - All in a NF {No Frills} package only

Features
Proprietary ultra low loss solid core conductors.
Proprietary expanded teflon dielectric flattens frequency response for superior picture and sound.
3D Ready True 16bit color
192/24 Altimate Audio
Corrosion-resistant 24k gold contacts ISF certified
480HZ refresh rate Hyper Speed - 21Gbps.
Certified for in-wall use UL CL-2 jacket.
Ultimate picture and sound from larger HDTVs, advanced projectors, and high definition AV sources

I bought this on ebay for a great price. I replaced my monoprice HDMI 1.3a cable from my ps3 and I can't believe the difference. The pic almost looks 3D it is so clear and crisp looking. So am I just seeing things or could this HDMI cable really be that good? Thanks!

Ok, I was also wondering what this means: 480HZ refresh rate Hyper Speed - 21Gbps... how does a cable do anything with a refresh rate? My tv refresh rate is 240HZ but thats the tv so why would a cable need a refresh rate? what refreshes in a cable? If this question even makes sence?

That's part of the marketing BS of Monster. A cable has nothing to do with refresh rate. As you yourself have already noted, the refresh rate is exclusive to the display.

Also, there is nothing that will send 21Gbps of data. Current BD technology is less than 5 Gbps.

Another good point, and another perfect example of why the 'benefits' printed on a Monster cable's package mean very little or nothing at all.

I meant there is no media that sends at 21Gbps that would utilize HDMI.

If you are talking Optical Carrier, then the current OC-192 is only 10Gbps. There is an OC-768, which is 40Gbps, but I only know of two current production deployments -- AT&T and TAT-14 Transatlantic Cable. These are both core network deployments and not customer facing connections.

Sadly as a Monster Fanboy, i was more excited to see a new product to come out, then disappointed that it was a hoax.
I never paid retail, just had friends that work for Best Buy, so got the employee discount + friend's trouble charge.

It's not a hoax. Monster is just horrible at updating their website. monstercable.ca doesn't have any M-Series at all. The only thing that seems odd to me is the price of $30. Hope it's not a fake.
