Default Whats better? 120hz or 240?

I have no idea what these numbers mean on the tv box. Is there a difference?? The plasma I use is 60hz, but if I go with a LCD, should I upgrade to the 240?

That wouldn't necessarily be an upgrade at all.
Plasma has a much faster response time than LCD, so it doesn't need the extra refresh rate to compensate for motion lag.
If you want to upgrade, consider the 96Hz-capable V10 plasma series from Panasonic or try and find a 72Hz-capable plasma from Pioneer. These two plasma's will outperform almost all the 240Hz LCD sets on the market in key areas of picture quality such as motion resolution, actual contrast ratio, black levels, etc.

I see that you are a gamer. I heard people complaining about input lag and burn in issues on plasmas, but I do not know as I have never owned one.

According to DisplayMate, the motion interpolation used by these displays does not improve motion blur on their test material. They admit that when watching normal broadcast it does appear to make a difference, but it didn't impact their tests.

Quote:
The best picture quality was obtained with the motion enhancement processing minimized or turned off.
Quote:
If you stick with the mid to top tier models from the reputable brands, you should ignore Response Time specifications, not worry about LCD motion blur, and don’t spend extra for 120 Hz or higher refresh rates, strobed LED backlighting, or advanced motion blur processing.
Keep in mind that their recommendation is soley in regards to motion blur and not reflective of overall picture quality. With high-end LCDs, LED backlighting will produce better contrast than edge-lit or CCFL backlights.

This isnt a problem. I do alot of gaming and yes, you get a little IR but not burn in. IR goes away when you refresh the screen, which all games do...

Default Plasma

AFAIK lag has never been an issue with plasma. However it IS an issue with LCDs, along with motion blur, poor viewing angles & marginal black levels. I agree, that if you want to upgrade, go with a Panasonic V10 plasma.
