Default Buying movies off amazon.. How does it all work?

I see theres some free super saver shipping and some other things ( ways of shipping ) as well as pre orders... So lets say i just keep filling my cart with like 10 movies, and 5 come out next tuesday and the other five come out 2 weeks from next tuesday.. Do i pay for them all at once, then they just ship them out on the release day?

Only thing i ever ordered from there was my TV , so i dont know how the shipping and release stuff goes

Use the Amazon Help screens. They explain things well.

You pay for the ones that will ship. When you pre-order something you won't be charged until it's shipped.

gotcha.. Just curious , because i put up in my cart ( which was 19.99 ) and then added monsters inc ( which was 22.99 ) and my total was $33.00 , so i thought something was wrong at first , but then saw they had a discount if you got them both.. excellent deal actually

So how bout shipping then.. does it cost anything , because I see a few different shipping options , but then super saver shipping is free .. So is there some fine print somewhere?

It just depends how quick you want it. If you want it right away you'll have to pay extra for shipping or if you feel you can wait you can just use the free shipping.

Super saver shipping is completely free. There is a link that will provide details as to how much faster and more expensive each method is. Also, after choosing your shipping method, it will reflect on your pre-purchase recipte.

thanks guys , my computer always runs slow at night , and i finally got to the payment screen ..

I see now the super saver is completely free ( but takes 5-9 days )

then standard shipping is $4 and that says like 3-5 days..

So how is amazon with shipping? pretty good and usually pretty quick?

Check out the Hot Deals section on this site, you'll find great sales and deals there and lots of us members contribute frequently. And you can discuss the specifics of a sale, share info, ask questions, etc. The UP + Monsters Inc deal was posted there and I jumped on it, and you can also stack it with the Amazon UP sale, where if you buy UP, you get $10 off another movie. I bought UP, Monsters Inc and Bolt for $46 shipped, which is awesome for Disney new releases.

As for Amazon, anything over $25 gets free shipping. Which is awesome, every time I want a few movies, I wait for good prices and usually end up getting 3 movies for like $34 shipped. Just recently I bought Bolt (w/ that sale), Gladiator, 2001: ASO and Sunshine Cleaning for $51 shipped! And yeah they're shipping is very quick and my orders are always packaged well.

The Super Saver shipping is usually pretty quick getting to me. Last time I purchased from Amazon was October 27th, my package was shipped the 29th and I received it November 3rd. All in all, not terrible IMO. I can wait a couple of extra days if it's going to save me a few bucks.

If I ordered more often I would become a Prime Member though. With Prime, you always get free 2-day shipping. You could always give the 14 day trial a go and see what you think.

Don't use Standard shipping. It's the same as Super Saver, despite what they're telling you. I've ordered things before with free shipping only to have it arrive the next day.

The $10 off on Up and Monsters is a promotional deal. It only works for those two films. Unless you see another coupon/deal, everything is the price you see.

Like I said man, the Hot Deals section is your friend

Use the code DISNEYBD and the $10 discount will be applied. Here's the link of Disney titles that the coupon applies to

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...48181&plpage=1

And here's the thread with the info

No there's 2 deals, and they stack. The first is UP + Monsters Inc = $32.98, and the second is Up with $10 off of another Disney movie

Maybe that's what it was for me, I don't remember exactly. One thing to consider is the Super Saver shipping sends everything out in one package. So you may want to order everything that comes out this week as one order. And place a second order for the rest.

That's what they say, but I usually get my order within 2-3 days with the free shipping (unless it's a pre-order obviously). I'll never pay for their quicker shipping options. It would be a waste of money.

Looks as though the discount is automatically applied when u order both UP and Monsters. I added them to my cart and the total was already 32.98. I tried the code when checking out and it wouldn't work.

The other $10 should be taken off if you add another Disney movie

Thanks guys I'll have to take a good look over the hot deals section
