Post Why aren't my stores getting the new releases?

Ive been at best buy and walmart and both of these stores are not showing the new releases that this site is showing should be out. Im thinking it maybe the area, like stores in California might have them but Ohio (where im at) doesnt. Its just a thought whats your thoughts.

I don't know what is up with some movies, I live up in Ontario and this site says that "Waiting" was put out on the 17th but my local Future Shop will not have it until the 31st and I don't know why.

Wal-mart really isn't into HD formats yet. Stores are hit and miss when it comes to them offering Blu-ray or HD-DVD. In my area in particular only one Wal-mart out of 10 in my area carries Blu-ray and HD-DVD. The one that is by me that does offer them tends to get the new releases, even though it is not all of them.

Like in the past week they got Waiting and Premonition, and before this they had the older version of The Fifth Element and then when the new one was released they took it off the shelf and even removed the spot for it and didn't stock the new one. I am suprised about BB though. Typically they always stock the new releases, even the less than stellar ones. I guess it is kind of like real estate...LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

We only have HMV in my town in the UK offering Blu Ray or HD-DVD, and the prices are ridiculous. Minimum of about £18 per film, some of them are nearly £30.

The odd gamestores carry a few titles, I picked up a used copy of Resident Evil Apocalypse a couple of days ago for £9.99. It's practically new. Might not be the best film out there, but I thought it was worth picking up at the price.
