Nice find, but I don't know if i'm too keen on the idea of this double steelbook. I think it works well, if it's the same movie franchise, like the upcoming Iron Man 1 & 2. Just don't know about this one. I'll have to wait and see if i'll get this one.

To be fair, it's not like it's two different movies from completely different studio/directors or some odd mix. And the cover isn't half bad either. if both movies are region free in this set I may pick it up if I can.

Oh come on. Robin Hood was practically promoted as being Gladiator 2. Almost every poster had the 'Gladiator' word on it printed bigger than 'Robin Hood'. They're taking every chance to link this movie to Gladiator, so this is an entirely logical next step if you ask me. The fact that Scott had Maximus been killed is the only thing that prevents Gladiator 2 from being made... That is ofcourse until Scott realises he can do just another 'prequel' like this Robin Hood...
It's not like they can sell copies with claiming it's any good, with good acting, tightly written script or original scenes or anything... Just literally stick Gladiator to it, it'll sell...

I think it looks a bit tacky. Sure, they are both Russel Crowe movies, but I would rather have individual ones for each movie on this one. It reminds me of all these double, and triple featurettes on dvd, that sell at Wal-Mart. It's blu-ray, and should look better than those counterparts. Here is a terrific example, of a steelbook that looks a mess. This is just my opinion, and like I said before. I may still buy it, but by no means is it at the top of my list to buy.12430_front.jpg

I quite like the artwork, at least it's different from the similar UK/GER Robin Hood releases. Might pick this up if I don't like final Dutch SteelBook artwork.

Can anyone comment on the likely hood of this being Region Free? The Italian Gladiator Steelbook was region free so I'm wondering if that's an indication that this will also?

And does this Italian site ship to US?

Any news on Region coding for this?

The link states it's the 10th Anniversay issue, but is there any confirmation?

Also, has anyone ordered from this site?

Thx.

Artwork is similar to UK's Robin Hood/Gladiator double-pack.

I quite like the it.

Seems to be identical to the Australian release, too.
(Bought it ($28, about $23 American) but wont have access to my blu-ray player for another week)

According to a thread on the DTV forum, this is currently the only way of getting the 'proper' transfer of Gladiator in Australia (hence my purchase, still haven't seen Robin Hood but I expect to at least enjoy that, too)

The only problem with this release is lack of an extras disk. (They even had to print on the back that some of the extras don't work, because they require inserting the missing 'extras disk')
It's basically the complete Robin Hood blu-ray, and the 'movie only' disk for Gladiator (which still has both versions and 2 commentary tracks)
