Of course only 3 will be up for the OSCAR but here is the link & info for the 15 films which will be whittled down to 3 by Feb. 2, 2010. (I highlighted in BOLD the 3 I think might be chosen, tho', the 3rd one was a Serious toss-up between Termn. Salvation, ROTF, 2012, & Watchmen. I'm pretty sure AVATAR & STAR TREK will be 2 of the 3)
http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/159...-for-vfx-oscar The 15 "Semi-Finalists" are: Angels & Demons, Avatar, Coraline, Disney's A Christmas Carol, District 9, G-Force, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 2012, Watchmen and Where the Wild Things Are. In early January that list will be narrowed to seven, while 15-minute excerpts from each of the seven shortlisted films will be screened by Academy members on January 21st. Three films will make the final nomination list which will be announced on Tuesday, February 2nd. |
