Default Has 1080i and 720p

I've got the new 160GB version. It supports 1080i/720p/480p/480i. Works as advertised, but the downloaded movies look a little 'soft' to me. Better than VHS, worse than DVD, WAY worse than BD.

Is it that hard to type "anyone"? You should type like a semi-literate human.

Ok, back on topic.

The Apple TV shows 1080i resolution, but it doesn't look like it. Don't get one if you just want it because it's HD, it's not worth it, even if it does use HDMI.

I like the apple tv, but its definitely not hd.....even the shows that were originally presented in hd are not transferred to hd. its a nice device nonetheless.

I swear, I would have gotten one if it was a small Blu-Ray player. The fact that you can't record TV even in SD is rediculous. It is a very good concept but they kinda half-assed on the features. It almost does stuff.

I suspect that by the end of 2008, Apple TV will support IPTV.
