The FIFA World Cup is almost 2 days away - the largest sports event in the world - so I figured, we ought to have a dedicated thread for 2010 FIFA World Cup discussions, much like how we had one for the Winter Olympics and similar events. Hope that's cool with everyone!

They have a pretty good shot at that, considering their group is weak (other than England of course). England is most definitely going to top the group.

Come on USA!!!!! I'm really pumped for the US/England match, and I really hope this is the year that we can breakthrough and earn some more worldwide respect in soccer. I think Spain will take it all though, they are one impressive team.

I thought England had a lot of injuries. But according to the odds USA is still a heavy underdog.

Oh boy, if the English get it together, they can annihilate the US team. Their team is stacked to say the least and they're managed/coached by Capello, one of the greatest coaches Europe has right now. I'm extremely stoked for that game!

But I would love if the US put up a fight as well.
