I am looking to buy a Denon 4310 receiver but the local dealer I bought from in the past is now gone.
Does anyone know of a Denon dealer in the Grand Rapids, MI area? It does not have to be in Grand Rapids I am willing to drive up to 100 miles. I would order online but I would like to listen to one of these first. If anyone owns one of these I would like your thoughts. Thanks |

Do you know what their return policy is? If I have a problem with it or just don't like it when I get it? Is there a restocking fee? I haven't heard one of these things yet. I doubt I would want to return it but I just don't want to be stuck with it if I dislike it. |

Like most other AVR's, there is a sound difference between the lower end and higher end models. You also have to consider feature set, in which most higher end models have features that the lower end models do not (dual monitor outputs, preouts, networking etc.).
I owned the 2309ci before the 4310ci I have now. To me, the sound is more refined than it was with the 2309ci. My speakers image better, the sound is more powerful and defined during dynamic passages, and detailed and clear in softer passages. Even without the auto setup completed the sound is better. But the 4310 has the 8 point Audyssey multieqXT setup where as the lower end Denons have the 6 point setup. I was happy with the sound from my 2309, but the 4310 took it up a notch. Audyssey multieqXT achieved much better results in my room than I had before, even my wife noticed, and she is not much of a fan of this hobby ![]() Also, you have to have at least the 3310 to have preouts. Also important, if you are looking at the 4310 and you "settle" so to speak and pick up what is in your mind a "lower end" AVR, you will always have that nagging in the back of your head telling you you should have got the higher end model. Good luck! I answered your PM. Let me know if I can answer anything else for you! ![]() Last edited by Dase; 01-03-2010 at 04:53 PM. |
