Movie jobs and there posistion - Blu-ray Forum

I was interested in who has overall power on a film and the job descriptions and what ive read on wikipedia seems to say its the producer and i thought it was the director.If this is the case if you take indy and the last crusade for example it says a Steven Spielberg film as it was directed by him but really it should say a George Lucas film as he was the executive producer.Id prefer it to say a film by the director as he's the guy behind the camera after all.It's just a thought

The executive producer is the head honcho and usually reports straight to the studio or the entity financing the film.
