Default What TV should I get

hey guys so i bought a tv from Best Buy a knock off brand and now its broke WHAT A SHOCK! but I was wondering what TV I should get instead

LG - 42" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV

or

Samsung - 40" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys.

Samsung, it's a better tv than the LG you're looking at (even though it's smaller) and samsung arguably makes the best LCD's on the market (toss up between Sony and Samsung)

have you looked at each in the store? samsung is a great brand LCD, but make sure you see it first side-by-side with the LG

Based on a lot of members posts....the consensus seems to be the Samsung and Sony are 1a and 1b as far as the LCD market goes. I would go with the Sammy as well if the price is right of course...

I think that the Samsung will have better processing than the LG, I would also think about trying Sony Bravia.

Buy what you can afford but if it were me? It would be Sony all the way. Samsung? A close second but if you want reliablity I would go with Sony but thats just me.

wow this is a land slide haha i thought maybe it would be closer but i guess not, i mean i have a 32 LG and it works beautiful and has an awesome picture...but i guess samsung is the better choice according to you guys.
