Default Sony Z 52" or Panny G10 50"

Hi, just wanted anyone's thoughts...I kinda leaning towards the 50" G10 but have some concerns to do with glare(I have a good size window behind it that is odd shaped and hard to buy coverings for).I also am concerned with problems to do with gaming on the plasmas.
The Sony Z looks pretty good even though it has the poorer blacks compared to the Plasmas but the better glare and(I think)better gaming ability have me looking at it again...not to mention I'm sort of a Sony fanboy

cheers!

Glare sounds like it could be a issue for you but I'm sure u can find a window treatment that will block out the sunlight. That's also a good idea for the LCD too. Gaming on a plasma is great! I have 4 Kuros and 1 panny that each have there own PS3 and have ZERO issues with burn-in or anything for that matter.

Thumbs up Panny plasma

Indeed ! The Panansonic plasma is MUCH better for gaming. No motion blur, no lag, great reliability and customer service. Go for it !!

I always prefer a plasma over an LCD, but if you do go LCD I think you picked on of the best,

Default My opinion

I work in Retail in HT tech....and I would take the G10 any day of the week. One cant beat the Black Level, Greyscale, and overall response of a Plasma. Yes the Z series..is one of sonys better LCD displays but its still an LCD. Yes it has 240 htz and a high Contrast but it has nothing on the pic quality of a plasma. Burn in on this model is very hard to get. I put up a Scope film with the black bars on repeat for a full shift of mine for 8 hours and when it was over I saw no burn in, or decrease in performance. The glare on the G10 is subtle and wont be noticed unless in direct sunlight and if you are trying to find it. All and all I wish I had more time to talk about why Plasma displays are the superior flat panel but ill save that for a later post. Live Long and Prosper. Please contact me with ANY question on Bluray or Home Theater Questions for I am happy to respont in kind and in a quick fasion. My aim is SMITHT2NCC1701
