Try hitting it.

It seriously works. Don't try to tell me electronics can't feel intimidation.

Assuming you are running a desktop, I would first check that the card is seated properly. If that fails you could always try removing the card completely, reboot the computer and then shut it back down, reinsert the card and reboot. I had a sound card that would require me to do this intermittently for some reason.

If this fails and after multiple boots your PC still doesn't recognize it, then I'm guessing a new card is in order.

I beat a laptop to death with my bare fists once.

Good times.

Never buying a Toshiba product again....

Tomorrow I want to get an external wireless card, is there a specific one I should get?

Are you sure it's your wireless card?

1'st thing you could try is plugging it into the modem and going into the command prompt and type ipconfig, then restart and see if its working hard wired. Then reset the router (I noticed with some cards the router needed to be reset every now and then), If it still isn't working might be time for a new card.

Since it's an internal one that came with the computer I have no idea how I would re-install it.

Don't smack me for asking the obvious.... but you haven't accidentally turned the wi-fi off with the switch that most laptops have?
