Get the Simpsons. Its an original story not copied like the Family Guy. The Simpsons have been the better show for long than Family Guy wishes they could stay on the air for.

In an attempt at being unbiased, I would say go with the Simpson; it is better.

Note! I no longer get much enjoyment out of Family Guy and I thought the movie was a disappointment when I was a fan.

I haven't seen the Simpsons movie on Blu-ray but from what I remember from the theatre, it's pretty good.

However, if you like Star Wars at all, I highly recommend the new Family Guy blu (Something, Something, Something Dark Side). Take it for what it's worth but I thought it was hilarious!! It kept me laughing for the entire hour.
