Question Verbatim BD-RE

Having ZERO luck finding Verbatim 50GB BD-RE....does anyone have any ideas where I can pick some up at? I have one Sony disk I bought a while back but Nero is reporting a group of bad sectors on it :-(

Perform a FULL erase (all data will be lost).

BD-RE DLs are available from TDK and Panasonic.

No go with the full erase I have 2 Panasonics on order. It will format in Vista & Win7 but when I run full erase in the Power2Go software it errors out. I have even tried using ImgBurn just to erase the disk thinking it was the software, no such luck. As soon as it get's in the 10GB range it would error out on me, used Nero to run a scan and there are at LEAST 3 areas with bad sectors. Time to dig out the receipt, the damn thing was $60.

Hi,

A little off topic.
does anyone know if there is a way to format a BD-RE 50 Gb disc to the state that it was before first usage.. new state?

I been using my TDK BD-RE 50 Gb blu-ray disc to write .iso files on it. I've burned .iso files over 47 Gb of size without any problem. My problem is that suddenly my TDK BD-RE disc size change to 45.1 Gb.. now I can't burn larger .iso files that 45.1 anymore. Don't know how the size of the BD-RE disc suddenly decreased. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

You can try a full format instead of a quick format but I would guess that there are bad sectors on the disc now. That is what happened with my first Sony disk
