Default Here's what I want in a BluRay player, help please.

OK, I am about ready to buy one. I had one over the summer for a day and returned it, now I am ready again, especially since prices are so low.
I will only run component out to VGA in to an older LCD projector(very high lumens and fantastic 720p/1080i image). Still form what I saw the image is much improved over a standard DVD.
The reason I returned it was because it would not run anamorphic DVDs.

What I am looking for.
1. A Blu Ray player that WILL run anamorphic DVDs.
2. One that will self decode DTS and other audio options.
3. One with a good track record as far as lack of necessary repairs, good longevity.
4. Good price.

Basically I just want one that kind of give me a lateral change(so to speak) from my existing DVD player.
I have an older Kenwood amp that has DTS decoding and right now, I'd like to continue using for a while.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I would go with a PANASONIC blu-ray player. I have several of them and they are of superior quality compared to it's price. F.x Panasonic DMP-BD35
This player confirms with your 4 points.

Therefore go with the DMPBD80, its their most recent model that will do what you are looking for.

Default If you want a little extra and dependebility, go with the SONY BDP-N460.

Panasonic players are great too.
Personally, I'd go with the SONY because I own one (BDP-350) and never had any playback issues with it.
Your choice

cheap and reliable: Sony s360

Panasonics still have that freezing issue that is unacceptable imo.

I would go Sony BDP-S350 (owned one and never had any problems), now I own a Samsung BDP3600, I love it plus it has Youtube, Blockbuster, Pandor and Netfix.
