I have the Toshiba 32AV502U and if its anything like the "502R you're asking about, you'll love it. Very clean picture, lots and lots of fine tuning options good sound from the TV.

BTW, I've had it for a year now w/out any issues.

Pay the Extra Money!!!!!!!!

Mines going back in the box untill my office is done,I paid only $325 so it's not that big of a lose.

As they raised the price back to $490

Ignore the part about me taking it back to the store

My Review:

I bought this TV last week expecting a really good picture to how it was shown on display even through it was a LCD TV and the Contrast ratio was fairly low 15,000.

Watching standard satellite TV the picture is awful and every channel has a washed out look and you have to always adjust the picture(even with the Firmware update).

Watching HD channels the picture is clear and crisp but I can't get any sound yet in HD mode and there's only 59 channels in true HD I can get.

So your back to the awful washed out color

Watching Blu-rays the picture is very nice and crisp but a few scenes the color does go poor.

This TV is going back this week and I will be getting a Samsung or Sharp 32" or 40" that I know personal look amazing with a standard satellite signal let alone a HD source.

If all you do is play Blu-rays or play games or watch a little bit of TV.

Then maybe this Toshiba is right for you!!!

But if you want a TV that your not going to want to replace in 1-2 years let alone a 1 week try another brand or even a higher Toshiba model if you want to keep with Toshiba.

Thanks
