Default Might exchange my receiver

I bought a Yamaha RX-V765 receiver and the problem I'm having with it is that Slacker Radio on my blu-ray player has intermitent audio dropouts for a split second. It doesn't happen often but it happens. Also Tiger Woods 10 during loading sometimes, and in COD Modern Warefare 2 for my Xbox 360, I get the same split second audio dropouts. However, while playing a CD or watching movies I don't get the audio dropouts. I'm using very cheap thin HDMI cables for these devices to connect to my receiver but I'm not even sure if that's what is causing the problem. I ordered new HDMI cables from Monoprice. I tried out a Yamaha RX-V465 receiver a few weeks ago as well and I had the same problem with the audio dropouts and I thought a higher end receiver would solve that problem. I tried an Onkyo but returned it for a different problem I was having with it before I got my current one. I was thinking that if the store allows me to exchange my receiver, I will choose the Sony DH800 receiver but I rather keep this one if the problem is not my receiver as I'm on my 3rd receiver from the store I bought it from and I don't want to risk getting my return priviledges revoked or something. Should I wait and try out my new HDMI cables when they arrive before I consider returning the receiver to the store or should I just return it tomorrow and exchange it for the Sony?
