Have the JVC 42" TV (LT42EM59C), and I noticed that it does not display 1080p/24, but does display 1080p/and of course 1080i. I'm planning soon to buy the LHB977 or similar Blu-Ray home theater to go with this TV, and will be viewing movies from about 8 feet.
Does it make sense for me to buy a Blu-Ray home theater if I'm not able to view Blu-Ray discs at 1080p/24? Is Blu-Ray at 1080p/60 that much superior (video and audio) to standard DVD (even with upscaling) and would be worth having to see those Blu-Ray movies I choose to buy? Thanks, Steve |
