United Kingdom missing MAJOR releases?

there are obvious missing releases still not out in the UK yet.

someone has already said why halloween (2007) has not been released in UK yet. due to paramount issues.

but what i dont get is, i still know what you did last summer is out in the UK, but i know what you did last summer isnt. and they are both the same company.

we need this sorted!!

The US release of I Know What You Did Last Summer is region free, so if it doesn't get released in the UK you could import.

I Know What You Did Last Summer is not released by Sony in the UK, it's an EIV title. The sequels are on the Sony label in the UK however.

Like you mentioned, Halloween (2007) also has different distributors in the US and UK.

You are kidding right?

Australia is the new Japan as far as Blu-ray prices are concerned. Australian Blu-ray prices are beyomd obscene at present, a far cry from 5-8 years ago when you could pick up some decent bargains on DVD.

I was looking at importing The Harry Potter Ultimate Editions from Oz recently (two of about a million tiles out in Oz that Warner UK doesn't want to release in the UK for whatever stupid reason) and the cheapest I could find them for was something like £50-£55 each!

The US, Canadian and German versions can be bought from anything between £19 and £26 each.

Trust me when I say Aussie Blu-ray prices are far from reasonable!

And as I was saying, there are around 50 or so Warner Bros titles that have been released in Oz (and in most of the world it would seem) that have yet to see the light of day in the UK. Does Warner UK really think the UK BD market is the Western Blu-ray market equivalent of a leper colony? So much for the UK being one of the World's biggest Blu-ray markets.

Fox are nearly as bad when it comes to back cataloge titles in the UK. I think the UK is the only place you still can't get BDs of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Big Trouble in Little China and X-Files: Fight the Future, to give just three examples.

Thanks for treating the UK market like some third rate backwater Fox and WB!

You can order "Die Hard with a Vengeance" in Germany. It's uncut and has and English DTS HD Master Track. Oh and Running Scared is available in Germany too.. It's currently pretty cheap at amazon.de

Actually I am pretty pissed that the recent Lionsgate releases of "Running Man", "Hard Rain", "Drop Zone" and to a lesser extent "The Phantom" were region Coded "A". It was the final straw that got me to order a Region A Player...
