Waltz with Bashir - Anyone gonna get it? - Blu-ray Forum

Thinking about buying this as a blind buy. Didn't get a chance to see it in the theaters, so I've been waiting for this on blu ray.

Video got pretty high marks on the review here, but I would have figured it would look perfect on blu.

Thoughts about the movie????????? Anyone else gonna pick this one up?

I'm gonna rent it, but no blind buys for me anymore. I've been curious ever since i saw the trailer.

I have it, UK here so had it a while now. It's 1.85.1 ratio presented in DTS HD MA and Dolby Digital. The whole film is in the Hebrew language with only Hebrew and English subtitle and no English audio dub option.

I found it quite interesting as this man doesn't remember anything about the war he fought in Lebanon. So he talks to the people who do remember and finds out their different experiences during the war. It's quite interesting as some of them go through complete fear and true bravery

All in all this superbly animated and the weren't any picture problems and sound was spot on especially with the bombs and the gunshots - and tanks. But rewatch value may be part of your preferences.

It's a good film for me as I'm interested in war but I'd say you should rent this only because this film really is all about your preferences. I don't recommend films as straight up buys like

because we all have different preferences.

But definately watch it at least once.

Hello,

The US disc has an exclusive commentary track by director Folman, which isn't found on the Region-Free Artificial Eye disc.

I caught this in theaters and it's definitely interesting. I defintely do NOT recommend the blind buy because it certainly isn't for everyone. I suggest renting it first before deciding.

Has anyone in the US purchased this BD? I saw it's currently priced at $7.49 on Amazon...only thing is, does it work on U.S. BD players?? Amazon has this note in red next to the title: Region 35137 encoding. (This DVD will not play on most DVD players sold in the US or Canada [Region 1]. This item requires a region specific or multi-region DVD player and compatible TV.
