Have you ever had one of those moments "I would've used this song instead of this" for a movie that you like?
I just watched the Watchmen again and as much as I like the film, I have some beef about the song for the ending. Sure, the tone and the tempo are a great match to the ending of the film, but the artist of the song... (My Chemical Romance?) It's just a seriously ill fit to have MCR (a poseur emo pretentious punk-want-to-be band) among all the great classics like Dylan, Simone, Hendrix. It's almost like an insult to have their names appear on the same OST as My Chemical Romance. I would've used (different moods for the ending) Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (impossible to do however) Bowie - Little Wonder or The Man who Sold The World (or the Nirvana cover) Ramones - My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down Radiohead- Karma Police Sabbath- Never say die Bob Dylan - Knockin' on Heaven's Door (quite a complement to The Times They are a changin from the Intro) |
