Default No More Heroes to the PS3

Quote:
In Japan's Famitsu magazine this week, Marvelous Entertainment announced that ports of the original No More Heroes, the whacked-out Wii action game that came out early last year, are forthcoming for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Both ports are due out February 25 in Japan for 5800 yen each; no US release has been announced.

Graphics and gameplay of Goichi Suda's stylish, sardonic game seem unchanged in the two ports; details on how the Wiimote-centric controls will be adapted to the new systems weren't given. One new feature was also announced: "Very Sweet Mode," which gives all the female characters in No More Heroes unlockable sexy costumes (shown both in-game and during cutscenes) when you complete certain conditions.

Preorders of the No More Heroes ports in Japan will get one of two "erotical portrait" art collections, depending on system.

I always wanted to play this but didn't want to buy a Wii for it.

I played a few chapters of this on my Wii and really enjoyed it. I hope it does get a US release as well.

I just bought this game for 10 bucks on ebay and loved it. I would sure enjoy a PS3 port, but I wonder how it will work? MAybe using the right joystick to swing sword?

I really wanted to play this game on the Wii, before I got bored with my Wii and sold it. My only gripe is why no upgrade to the graphics? I mean they don't have to overhaul it completely but a little bump would have been nice. I guess making it playable is the most important goal.
Or are they waiting for the wand and natal to come out?

If Kevin Gifford's judging graphics by some blurry magazine photo's, I think he's daft.

Neither pic is a great representation of each version but there's clearly a large improvement there.

More pics here.

Looks better than a majority of HD-first games.

I have the game on wii....its fun for the most part....the part where you can "kinda" free roam isnt what its cracked up to be really....to sum it up quickly....its like playing a cheap arcade game...its fun but easily forgotten.

I had it on the Wii but had trouble getting into it due to technical hiccups.

At a good price, I'm pretty sure I'd give (uncensored please, thanks) the game a 2nd chance.

I posted about this a few months ago but back then it was just Marvelous wanting to do Wii to PS3/360 HD port but at least now it's confirmed to be true.

Looks good - graphics do look upgraded, but thats not saying much. As cool as it was on the Wii, it was no graphical masterpiece

As the saying goes "Graphics don't make a good game"

I played this game on the wii and wasnt impressed....its the same repetative motions over and over...swinging your wii remote...graphics was horrible...the free roaming part of the game was horrible..like they wanted to make it free roaming but they couldnt lol....i dont see why getting a port of no more heroes on the ps3 is a big deal....Im not buying it...but i wouldnt spend more than 19.99 on it new if i did....Not trying to be negative...just if anyone hasnt tried the game i would suggest a rental first...

TO be clear, you used the A button to attack and you just used the wii remote in fighting to switch between a high and low stance (also to give you beam katana....energy )

Man that looks so bad. Everyone looks laminated...

They should have just bumped the resolution

and then added buckets of Anti-aliasing.

Well with me I play a lot of low funded games and so obviously the less money used to make the game, the worse the graphics are(well 1 out of many reasons for not so great graphics in a game). And since I play a lot of low funded games(almost all games I play are low funded) you tend to not care anymore on games that have just ok graphics on low funded games. But ones that are heavily funded and look like crap then yeah that's when you need to be concerned at least a little bit because that's probably just more like laziness.

And gameplay is 10 times more important then graphics.
