Cool What do YOU do??

What do you do when you come home from school, or work, or anywhere else and see a package with with your name on it in the mail. Once I see it, I already know it's a BD. Call me crazy but I get SO excited when I get a new one. I spend about 5 minutes staring at it once I put it on my shelf. And when I'm coming home from the store with a new Bluray, I'm so distracted with it it's ridiculous.

So, what do you do when you get a new Bluray?

Rip off the plastic and stickers, even if I'm not going to watch it right away.

And if it is a double dip, I take the DVD off the shelf and whisper goodbye to it, shed a tear and toss it in the air so my dog can play with it. The same way she does for one of those novelty flying discs.

I open it ever so slightly and when I see the blue cover, I take a big smell of it. The new smell of blue is the best in the world. I then peel off the stickers and enter it in my program, then file it in my media stand.
I just love getting new movies. I don't know how to describe it really. Its a great feeling seeing a package with my name on it because I do know it is a blu-ray and that's awesome.

I generally unwrap it in the car if it's from the store and I unwrap it in my room if it's from Amazon or a trade. I'll watch most of them right away, still need to watch Hairspray and Home Alone 2.

I get so excited myself but still I have that fear inside me specially if I know the movie comes with a slipcover. so it is like "Oh god please include the slipcover" that happens when it is from Amazon.

But from ebay I do not have the same fear bec I ask before buying about the slipcovers.

In general I get so excited and make new space for the new blu discs on my shelf and if I have the DVD version then I take it off from the shelf to be sold.

New packages are treated in the following fashion:

Step 1: Retrieve mail and squirrel it away until I can open it at home. May open at work if possible and stare at the movies and admire their artwork and slick packaging design.

Step 2: Open box/movies at home.

Step 3: Put movies into PS3 to see how they look/sound and watch favorite scenes. If it's a blind-buy, I'll either watch it all the way through right then or set it aside for later (thus skipping the next steps until later too).

Step 4: Immediately add movie titles to spreadsheet.

Step 5: Download digital copies if provided, and swap cases around if needed (I keep digital copy discs in a separate thing, freeing up room in multi-disc cases).

Step 6: Add movie to collection in the library. Stand back and see how it looks on the shelf with all the others. Take out any DVD copies that the disc is replacing and re-arrange if necessary. Stand back and stare at it some more.

That is all.

I get my recreational DVDs, medicinal street pharmaceuticals, and magazines in the mail.

I don't really get BDs in the mail since some company called Ups (i think they are trying to cash that Disney movie) drops off my traditional DVD and Blu-ray Discs.

I guess if it doesn't say AdultDVDEmpire.com, Method Man/Redman/ODB, or Maxim/Esquire/Interview on the outside, I have to write "refused" on the package since it could be something that could hurt me.

There's nothing quite like coming home and finding a box at your door with all sorts of goodies in it is there? Especially when they were so cheap! I just open the box, the contents, and if possible at the time, watch the discs.

I find the barcode hole and start humping it.

Ok. Just kidding.
I just get excited and just pop the disc straight into my PS3, especially if I already know the disc has 5 star video and audio.

I open it as quickly as I can and put it with the rest of my Blu's, that way I won't have to explain to my wife why there is another package at the front door.

Since I don't watch my BD's as soon as I come home, I usually just toss it on my computer desk and go about my business. Unfortunately, it has a tendency to get lost there with all the paper shuffling and sometimes hides for a few days! Usually once recovered I do watch it and store it in my media cabinet.

I take my pants/shorts off (i'm actually serious about this one, I hate cloathing when its not neaded [eg: 40 degree days]), often my shirt as well.

Followed by this, just not with the blu ray in the bed but playing on the screen in front of my bed.
