Monster is now trying a way to justify $1,500 per cable. They will not be outdone!

Haha, this is nothing compared to Pear Cables:

Analog IC

Speaker Cable

Don't forget the Denon AKDL1

I haven't seen it before, you have to read some of the reviews. They're priceless.

I used to work with a guy who ate all this crap up. His 3 HDMI's and speaker wire were worth more than 52" Bravia.

Some of the reviews are actually pretty funny, mostly if not all of them are jokes.

The "tags" part of the Denon product page are hilarious too: snake oil, unconscionable, immoral, etc.

Pear Cable is the worst though. They got owned by James Randi, et al who called them on their BS.

I was initially buying this product for its weather resistance claim.

Since I tend to leave my $5695.22 Denon head unit outside in the rain, I was really hoping this cable would keep my unit safe from the elements. While it initially did a great job at wisking away the errant raindrops that would have ruined my system, a change in wind conditions confused the cable and my main unit was soaked. Needless to say, this crappy cable failed to do the one thing I really needed it to do and my system is totally fried.

Let the buyer beware. You have been warned.

I hate it when products fail like this!

It also says on the last line that it'll "likely cost you a bit more than a cool grand." Well, is it $1000 or not?

Full line is:
"The company will be selling cables from 0.3 meters up to 30 meters, which will likely cost you a bit more than a cool grand."

The 1,000 is for a 1 meter cable so the .3 meter cable will probably be cheaper and the up to 30 meters will cost more than the 1,000. The line before that states:
"So, for $1,000, you can get a really nice looking cable to carry a digital signal for a full meter. "
