Default What Makes Blu-rays So Collectible?
Maybe I'm alone here, but I have become a much more avid collector of movies/tv series since I started watching blu-rays. I already have more blu-rays than I ever had DVDs (and that's not even that many), and I find myself looking forward to new releases like I never did before.

Some of you "older" members might have already felt the same way about collecting DVDs, so you may disagree that there's anything special about blu-rays in particular...

But if you find yourself a new movie-collector with blu-rays, why do you think that is? Something as simple as attractive packaging? Is it a matter of the quality finally being high enough that you feel compelled to start buying movies?

As I think about it writing this post, I'm wondering if it's not HD technology in general that has attracted me to the medium...
