Fight Club
Star Trek (2009)
Raging Bull

Yes! Thats why I picked up:
Ronin
Spy Game
Star Trek VI
Quantum of Solace
Drag Me To Hell
Braveheart
and a couple of CD box sets that would have cost me three times as much in Canada.

Good~ however the S&H is still insane.

I wanted to buy some blus from them yesterday, but found out it doesn't save so much after those charges for my shopping cart. Each blu still cost around $20 CAD. I can't justify that the sale price was just 9.99 - 12.99.

I canceled this order then re-ordered them with more blus to save on shipping.

Mad Men Season One ~ $14.99

Mad Men Season Two ~ $20.49

Supernatural: The Complete Fourth Season ~ $25.99

_______________________________________________-

Wages of Fear - Criterion Collection ~ $16.99

Batman Begins [Limited Edition Gift Set] ~ $12.99

Vicky Cristina Barcelona ~ $10.49

Ice Age 3 ~ $10.00

Chaos ~ $7.99

Striking Distance ~ $7.99

I almost bought Mad Men 1 and 2 a couple weeks ago @ FS for $39.99 each
and they were the lowest price I could find. Soooo glad I changed my mind.

They should have a cap for shipping costs such 2.99 per item to a max of 9.99 or something. hell i would even accept 19.99 as the max cap. Do any of you guys bother checking if the import fees they charge is what the customs actually collect? I dont understand why we have to pay these while amazon UK is duty free and their shipping is still cheaper!!

I feel your pain, man. But I paid $64.99 + tax for Fringe and is $27.99 @ amazon.com which is even worse.

Picked up Braveheart, Star Trek Trilogy and Star Trek VI for $68 US funds - so should be around $75 or $ 15 per movie....not too shabby.

The only ones I got this time were Mad Men Seasons 1 and 2 for just over $50 US.

This to go along with John Adams last week for $35 US or so.

If you subtract shipping costs from your bill you will see that import taxes amount to 5% of what is left, that is Canadian GST which Amazon remits to the Canadian government. Don't know if they charge more for provinces that have HST, but you're supposed to pay the same for imports from UK. except they don't have a prepay agreement and Customs doesn't always catch their shipments. (I've had to pay on occasion) Barnes and Noble have a similar arrangement.
