Default "Green flashes" when source info changes

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right category for this, but as I'm not sure if this is my display or receiver causing it I thought I'd go for this first.

This started when we picked up a Sony BR player a few weeks ago, and now that we have a HK AVR it is happening every time the we change the device and also when the source info (resolution, soundtrack, etc.) changes. Anyway, the screen goes black and there will be 1-3 flashes of green before the signal comes back on.

It seems "ok" to me...everything always comes back up and looks/sounds ok...I assume it's just a flashing while the HDMI connections are shaking hands and figuring out what's coming through...just thought I'd see if this sounds common or if it's something I should be concerned with.

Thanks!

I had issues with my DVR when I got my SC-05 with changing channels. It did the same thing, but I found out it was my DVR box, as I had to turn off Native and it elimiated the issue. Not sure if anything similar would be associated with your issue though, since yours involves your new player.
