hey i was wondering if someone could send me this file system32\ntoskrnl.exe of version (i have xp home sp3)5.1.2600.5857 to my email or something because my computer doesnt start and when i scan the hard drive with another it says that its infected

Bumping this back to the top.

The OP has replaced the requested file but PC is rebooting at MUP.SYS in safe mode. XP CD is not
available.

Last Known Config worked after an initial reboot, but not anymore.

Any ideas/suggestions?

This might be a hail mary, but try resetting the Bios.

do i have to do something more special other than removing the battery?

didnt work after that i think i'm missing boot.ini but because it's not in c:/
