Disgaea Infinite Coming to America

NIS America announces Disgaea Infinite will be released for the PlayStation Portable system. It will be released in May 2010!

As you can tell, Disgaea Infinite is a spin off of the Disgaea series. However, unlike other Disgaea titles, Disgaea Infinite is an Adventure Novel style game. BUT it still has the usual Disgaea humor and ridiculous story as always!

Finally, you can play with a Prinny as your main character in a Disgaea game! One day, Laharl was almost assassinated, and they comanded a Prinny to find this fool who tried to assassinate Laharl! Of course, the Prinny has no choice but to obey his orders. What could this helpless, useless vassel (according to Etna) do to figure out who the unsuccessful assassin was!?

Well, the Prinny comes across this clock, Tick Tock, which lets him take over other characters' minds and bodies. You can use Tick Tock to see who is lying and had been planning on assassinating Laharl!

We are currently preparing the official website for Disgaea Infinite! So when it is ready to go, we will make sure to let you all know!

I'm hoping there's enough pent-up curiosity about visual novels that this does decently here, sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Yeah so which means make it a UMD stateside so that Disgaea fans who haven't heard about it can know that it actually exists because a lot of PSP owners wouldn't even think to look on the Playstation Network store to download it unless they happen to know of this title's existence. Also, not everyone can just simply download it unless they go out and buy a memory stick with lots of memory or have a PSPGo.

Disgaea Infinite is a great test for Americans to see if they would buy this and maybe if it works out for NISA then maybe some other visual novels might come stateside as well.

Disgaea Infinite Available in June in America

Looks like Disgaea Infinite won’t be ready in May as originally scheduled. Gamefly just added the PSP visual novel in their database and have it pegged for June. Early June, though! According to the video game rental service, Disgaea Infinite will be ready around June 10.

Disgaea Infinite puts the cast of Disgaea in a brand new tory. Someone tried to kill Laharl and it’s up to you, a lone Prinny, to find the culprit. Fortunately, this Prinny has the Tick Tock, a magical clock that allows him to possess other characters and hear their thoughts.

NIS America has not announced official pricing for Disgaea Infinite, but we’ve heard it won’t be a regularly priced PSP game.

Not a regularly priced PSP game huh? That could be a very good thing if it's what i'm thinking and who knows maybe it will be very cheap.

Interesting, that pretty much confirms a UMD release (I haven't been following the news much, so I don't know if that was already known).
