My tv 3d compatible? - Blu-ray Forum

I have a LG 50PS60 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV that has a 600hz refresh rate. The t.v only has 1.3 hdmi ports. I know everybody will say you need hdmi 1.4 for 3d but sony ps3 is 3d compatible with only 1.3. Do you guys know of a converter box for 2d tvs that will make them stereoscopic 3d for my ps3? or do you think sony will ever release a converter box? just bought this tv last january =(

Unfortunately your TV is not capable of 3D since the 3D circuitry needs to be built into the set. The DLP sets can that are 3D capable have the circuitry built in for the checkerboard format so an adapter can be used with these sets that convert all the different 3D formats to checkerboard.
