Default The Bride of Frankenstein on Blu-ray?

The Bride Of Frankenstein is my favourite movie of the Universal Monsters series , I wonder when we'll see it appear on Blu Ray?

There is a rumour that Universal has "green lit" a remake of The Bride Of Frankenstein perhaps this will bring forward a Blu Ray release of the original. It's such a great movie I think Criterion should do the remastering of a new release!

I'd love to see all of the universal horror films on bluray, as long as they duplicate the style of the legacy DVD series...meaning all of the individual character's films in one 2 or 3 disc set.

Definetly the later films (in in the case of dracula, everything after the filrst one) were kinda lame, but when it comes to frankenstein, I consider the first 3 to be one of the great trilogies ever and bride of course is the empire strikes back/godfather part 2 of the series

I don't think there's been any announcment yet, but i would love to see both these and the hammer horror films hit high def within the next 2 years or so

I'm hoping when The Wolf Man remake hits BD later next year that Universal will release a few of the classics to tie-in with that.

When it does come out it could be really grainy. Film grain doesn't bother me, but one of the earlier DVD releases was pretty extreme -- especially in the opening prologue. It looked like there was something swarming over the faces. The better resolution on Blu would emphasize that.

Hopefully when it does come out they'll use a really good print. The most recent release was certainly grainy, but less extreme.
