United Kingdom Red Cliff 1+2 $20 shipped to US from Amazon.UK

Red cliff special edition, contain complete 1+2 (not shortened international version), region free.

Listed 9.98 for the 2 disc extended cuts of the both films...

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Red-Cliff-Blu-ray/7821/

when you check out the price = £8.68, totally $20 with shipping to US!!

A great deal! If you buy Planet earth together, you can save a little bit shipping fee also!

From https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=2442268 [blu-ray.com]

I own both (four) of the Hong Kong and UK release. From my quick impression is that the HK version is better. It starts with the menu, the UK disc have a static boring menu. It is cheap. Somehow i found the image on the HK disc sharper/better than the UK disc. They have done something wrong with it, i can't articulate what it is. When comparing both images the HK version wins hands down. I it very clear when you see the face close-ups.

The forced PAL trailers are only on Disc 1. To get to the main menu - so that you could access the film on Region-A PS3s - once the first trailer (which is actually in 1080p) starts, press the green triangle button on your remote/controller and then select forward (120); the PS3 will skip over the PAL trailers and get you to the main menu. From there, you should know what to do. You don't have to follow the same routine on Disc 2. There are no trailers on it.

From information above :
HK version is better but cost a lot more.
Can be play by PS3 but need some work to skip the force PAL trailers.

I don't have $40 to purchase only part I (HK version) & for half the price I went with the UK SE which btw got a pretty good review by this site as well as many others... Though the whole 16 cut seconds of horse mutilation does kind of bother me, but oh well.

Yea, I'll have to go online find those seconds, time it up exactly with the film, pause it, run to my puter watch some horses fall, run back and press play and watch the remaining 4+ hours

If you like this flick you may want to check out Ashes of Time Redux as well.... £11.29

this is uncut version same as hk, plus hk version has logo pop out like every 10 minutes. If you don't had 7.1 speaker no poin get the hk version and is cost like 4 times more.
