Anyone recommend Mad Men? - Blu-ray Forum

This show has gotten great reviews and it seems like something I would enjoy. I was thinking about picking up season 1 and maybe 2 on blu ray soon, but wanted to get some other opinions first.

It's a excellent show that replicates the time period well.

Hell yes, it's cheap. Amazing PQ, alright AQ. But as for the show.. It doesn't need many words.. Here's a few.. Amazing, awesome, fantastic.

I actually don't care for it. Everything about it is very well done, but I just can't get into all the weird asides that the writers forget about and never come back to, and I don't think there is 1 character (that isn't a cheater/liar/scumbag) to root for, except maybe the mousy girl. Watched the first 2 seasons, barely, and turned off season 3.

I have the first two seasons on blu-ray and they are amazing. The stories are compelling and the PQ is quite good IMHO. It is one of my favorite TV shows!
