What's the laptop make and model. Have you tried a differnt charger? It's either the Bios or the Charger, don't really think its the OS, which is a plus I think.

Hi everyone!
First I apologize if this thread had already been started, I tried looking for a similar one but couldn't.
I have an HP Pavilion DV7-1260US. I bought it last january and had problems playing new Fox releases but fortunately I was adviced to install a different version and managed to play all titles.
But now, alas, HP and it's updates have caused the program to fail, so basically I try to play a Blu-ray and I either get a green screen (audio can be heard, but no images) or everything works out fine until I play the actual movie, which is when a little audio is heard, the screen is always black and then it just stops.
If I format the laptop and install the original software, the disc plays just fine, but then those automatic "important software" updates screw the whole thing up.
Needless to say, HP Technical Assitance is absolutely useless and they have no idea what to do. So my last resort is to ask any of you for help. Maybe someone has faced the same problem and has some advice for me.
It's all I want for christmas!
Thank you so much in advance!

I'd def say it's BIOS related.
