Star Trek (2009) comes with an absolutely stunning PQ transfer Audio is excellent as well. Hellboy 2, Iron Man and Hulk all had great PQ as well imo. Transformers 1 and 2 both have excellent quality, as did Terminator Salvation

I got Cloverfield for the AQ when I got my surround system, if you haven't heard Cloverfield on Blu-Ray yet with a nice system, you have my full recommendation!

Imagine Avatar in full 1080p bliss on Blu oh my God I would do terribile things to get my hands on that before it came out

Rat own. M&C is my reference disc for surround sound.

My choice for PQ is Inglourious Basterds. That one looks incredibly film-like to me.

I'm really surprised at the people listing TDK as perfect PQ. Are you guys watching the whole movie or just the IMAX parts? I'll agree that the IMAX parts look pretty good. The rest, not so much.

Well, not that I'm an expert or anything, but I say Star Trek for both perfect audio and video.

Quo Vadis has stunning video, but the sound is horrible. Baraka and The Searchers are both magnificent as well.

Count me in on this, too. The IMAX scenes are breathtaking, but the 35mm majority is a bit boosted in contrast. Still an enjoyable film visually on all counts, but falls short of reference-quality outside of the IMAX scenes.

Audio for The Dark Knight, though quite good, is a bit heavy on the lower frequencies, giving it a rather "thick" sound. I would have liked a few decibels of attenuation in those frequencies.

That's simply the way the sound was designed and mixed. It's supposed to have a very hefty and heavy feel. It fits the film perfectly.

I agree with all of those except for Iron Man on PQ, imo there were some iffy shots in that movie, but most of it looked great

The Matrix stands over all of these films. It is the most perfect visual and sound flick I've seen to date.

The inky levels of black juxtapose eye popping visuals in this film. This film is brilliant.

Wizard of Oz cannot be considered as a perfect PQ disc in any way. Considering the reviews I read about PQ on this disc, it is EXTREMELY overrated. Do studios pay some sites to get great reviews for discs with bad PQ as Wizard Of Oz and Gone With The Wind or what ? ( Movie itself is not questioned ).

People who are interested in classic films on Blu aren't interested in how well they hold up to Transformers, and these sites are correctly reviewing them on their own merits. Wizard of Oz is likely about as good looking as it could look given its age.
