My parents just bought a 42" Panasonic TC-P42S1. The wall mount I bought for them is a low profile version that I got from Wal-Mart. There was no need to buy a tilting version, even though I'm aware that tilting wall mounts give you more clearance between your tv and the wall. Now the problem at hand is trying to connect the HDMI cable in the back of the plasma. There is NO room to plug it in! HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 are on the back of the tv, and HDMI 3 is on the side of the tv. There is about 1 inch of airspace between the back of tv, where all the a/v connections are, and the wall. So I've resorted to plugging the HDMI cable that goes into their Dish HD reciever on the side of their plasma (HDMI 3). Obviously, they don't want to permanently keep the HDMI cable connected to the side of their plasma. I'm thinking I'll have to run the HDMI inside the wall to make it fit in the back of the tv.
Has anyone run into this problem with their plasma/wall mount setup?? There is just no room in the back of their plasma to run any a/v connections, nonetheless an HDMI cable. Help!! |
