PS3 (FW 3.01) picture freezing. - Blu-ray Forum

Tried to play both King Kong and District 9 today with both freezing. KK froze about 20min into the film where D9 froze about 5min in. I am running FW 3.01. KK has played previously without problems. Anyone else with similar problem and possible solution.

Both movies played fine on my Panny BD30.

Try updating your PS3 it's now at software version 3.15. I know 3.0 and 3.1 gave a ton of issues

Ah did not realise there was another update. The forum needs to update the FW page. Thanks.

Hmmmm. I don't wait for someone to report an update on their website or forum. When using my PS3, I just check for updates there. It's much quicker and I never miss one.

Maybe I need to connect it to the web. Can this be done by wifi?
