Default why do they force us upon this

I get annoyed with disney movies only coming in blu-ray/dvd/digital copy bundles. I only want the BD version but there are titles that you have to get in that bundle. why? I just give the dvd to someone else, and the digital copy to my co-worker

So far I have been able to get the Disney BD movies at a great price so I am not complaining. I agree with you that the DVD and Digital Copy bundle should be optional.

There's alot of threads like this one, and I never really understand the resentment for the packaging Disney does. People complain that it raises the products price, but I have yet to see this. The 4-Disc Up packaging was 19.99 and came with the DVD and digital copy. You may not use it, but if it doesn't effect you, why complain about it?

Some people use it and some don't, some like it, some don't.
Just like everything else in the world

Well if the prices are low, why not just appreciate the fact that you can just give them away, you're a stand up guy to them anyways, good Karma man
Although it's only a small gesture...

They don't raise the price so either deal with it or get rid of what you don't want.

They don't "force" you on anything... it's still your choice to buy or not. And since you have people to give the dvds/digital copies to, then you seem to haveit worked out fine.

Actually they do, the MSRP for Up on blu-ray is $44.99 and I imagine the normal price for it after the holidays will be $30-35.

Manufactures Suggested Retail Price.
Usually twice to three times more than what you actually pay.

I think it's a waste of space, and waste of resources to get a bundle when I would rather use less plastic for a single or 2 pack of just BDs. that's why I originally complained. I think it's a waste of space on my end

Although their SRP is high, normally you can still get them for $9.99 - $14.99 if you know how/when to get them. Otherwise I normally see them go for around $25-$30 in store without sales/coupons.

But isn't their SRP pretty much the same wether the DVD/Digital copy is included or not? It's either $39.99 or $44.99 depending on the title.

It's not a waste of resources since they are targeting not only blu-ray buyers but also those who haven't adopted the format yet. This way, they get both. And for families, they can keep the blu-ray at home and give the kids the dvd, or take the dvd in the car.

I left the digital copy in the box like all the special features discs that came with my DVDs. It's never made a difference to me.

I have an important question in regards to widescreen resolutions and view. I cant create my own threads yet nor could I find one to put it in so Ill just ask here. I recently got a blue ray player (samsung bd-p 1600) and I also have a samsung 720p 50 inch plasma (pn50b40) and for some reason I have large black dividers on bottom and top of picture. I realized streching it would make it worse but is there a way to stretch it a little bit or make it look like comcast 16:9 which also looks gorgeous in hdtv (on channels like cnn)? It doesn't seem to make a difference when i change display settings in the blue ray menu either.
