Default Xbox 360

Do any of the Xbox 360's have built in wireless?

They have two kinds out now (wireless adapters). The new one is $100 I think and the older one is lower. I have the older one and it works pretty well for Netflix instant viewing and online play. I think if you have a stand alone BD the 360 is a great system.

I finally broke down since the price went down and bought the original (white one) an it rocks...no lag and Its great not to have to run a darn cat5 cable to it and undo it when not in use. You wont be sorry, hope that helps!

Yeah the new black one with two antennas is for wireless N, and the older white one with only one antenna is for wireless G. The old one was $100 until the new one came out and now it's dropped to $70-$80 most everywhere. I'm using one of the older ones and I've never had any lag issues at all with it.

And to redeem myself for my last post, is it worth the extra money for the newer one, or is the wireless G model just fine for gaming? Not much of an online gamer, but thinking of trying it out.

I've never had any lag issues using the older style one. I also use it for streaming HD Netflix without any consistent issues. Once in a great while my show will drop out of HD for a couple of minutes and then go back. I don't know if that's caused by something on my end or at Netflix.

I use the original white adapter with the one foldable antenna also. It works like a champ and even helps me pick up hot chicks. Hot babes go gaga when they see that thing plugged into your XBox.

I had the adapter but I've since sold it since reorganizing my systems. It's a good adapter. Only get issues with my router never the adapter.

I guess being old makes me old fashioned since I want my internet running directly into the xbox. I don't mind my pc being wireless as long as the xbox is wired. Didn't take but 4 posts until the fanboys chimed in...lol

They will probably just merge this into the xbox topic anyways.

I like the 360 hard wired myself but, even though it's downstairs and on the other side of the house, I can still keep the cable hidden which is a massive plus.

i thought it was a good device but pretty pricey just to have wireless...since my systems are only a couple feet away from my router i just went with a cat6 cable that i bought for $3..since these fellas have vouched for the white single antenna i might look into picking one up if there is a great price...the new onei saw on amazon for under $90...

I picked up the white one I have from consumerdepot.com a while back for $50. It was out of the original packaging and I had to look the manual up online, but it's always worked perfectly and it looks brand new. I don't know if they still sell them or not.
