I boycotted Universal a long time ago, I haven't purchased any of their releases for well over 8 months now.

I should be boycotting Universal in about 2 months, after The Bourne Ultimatum comes out theatrically. I am going to buy a PS3 in Sept. or maybe sooner. It seems weird that Sony would stop making a 60 gig and just make an 80 gig, I am sure 60 gigs is more than enough for most people. The reason I am buying a PS3 is the cheaper price, I heard the 80 gigs are going to sell for the original price that the PS3 went for ( $ 599 US and $ 699 Canada). Sony should make the 60 gig and the 80 gig and sell the 60 gig for the current price and the 80 gig for more. There is no doubt in my mind that PS3's are being snatched up because of the cheaper price. Every thing that I am hearing Blu Ray is killing HD DVD in sales, there was a large spike in people buying PS3's since this price drop. Does Sony really want to put a halt to this when they raise the prices again with the introducion of the 80 gig?

I will buy the PS3 at $ 550 but there is no way I am paying an extra $150 for an extra 20 gigs since I am probably not going to use the current 60 gigs and I am damn sure I'm not the only person who is thinking this.

Sony has forced my hand!

You might consider the 80 gig model once Sony announced their movie download service.

no, boycotting is when you choose to not support something, you have no choice.
it is Universal who is essentially boycotting you by not supporting BD.

i also haven't bought any universal titles for months, but that's Universal's choice.
