I've been infected by something called "Vista Guardian". I just downloaded Spyware Doctor. Should I pay to have this malicious tracker removed?

That's jumping to extremes a little...

OP, I would personally recommend downloading Spybot and MalwareBytes...install the latest updates for each and then do a scan. See what they pick up/remove and check if the issue has been solved.

Or, you may want to try the following:

(if you've already installed Spybot, you can use that in the last step of the removal guide instead of downloading another spyware program--Spyware Doctor--as they suggest).

Never heard of it but sounds good

I would still recommend following the instructions in that removal guide just to be safe (but be extra careful if editing the system registry...can easily screw your computer up if you do something wrong). Your call though .

Combofix and Vundofix are good tools if you still are having issues. Just be very very very very cautious as messing around those tools can cause big time problems with your computer if you don't know what you are doing.

Also, if you are behind a router, go and check to make sure no other ports have been opened up.

I was able to run SPybot and wipe out Vista Guardian. That was one nasty spyware though. Thanks to all.
