Too expensive. If it was say...$80-$90 I might consider. But $140? No way.

I'd rather get the regular edition and a £5 desk lamp from the local ASDA/Tesco/Sainsbury's.

I'll just swing by IKEAand pick up a 10 dollar lamp..it'll be the same thing and i'll save myself some serious cash

That lamp can't be worth more than $5, what a rip-off, maybe if they where offering a collection of pixar movies in the set it might be worth the $199 price tag

I just noticed the change in status for this on Amazon. For real canceled or just pulled from Amazon temporarily? I was really prepared to get this, depending on how it looked in person. But if it's really canceled, "Score!" It just means I'll spend my dough on more Blu-rays!

Luxo was going to bring legal action on Disney or something due to Disney using Luxo's trademarked name without permission.

Apparently they have permission to call the animated short Luxo Jr. and the lamp is technically distinct from Luxo's design, but to sell a product of this distinct lamp with the name Luxo on it is infringement.

Thanks for the explanation, that all makes sense. Wow, after all these years, I defaulted to thinking of Luxo as the lamp kid's name and not a brand name beforehand.
