Default Yung heats home theater Finally! :)

Hello everyone Ive been a member of this site for some time now and I've learned so much about home theater from talking to several of you. I want to thank all of you whom I reached out to ask questions and learn from over the past years. There are to many to name but I just want to thank you all for your help. I just bought my first home and here is my modest living room home theater I no it's nothing compared to some of your incredible hts but I love what I have put together. I hope you enjoy and please if possible leave ratings or reviews and I'll return the favor. Once again thank you all who helped me learn about hts if it wasn't for this site I would not know half of what I know today so thank you all! The link is posted below

Good morning and welcome to the gallery thread. One suggestion if I may, pull your center channel forward so the front baffle is just over the front lip of the stand. This will help the dialogue to sound better and to keep the sound from bouncing off the top of the stand. Other than that great looking room.

Welcome and thanks for participating in the HT Galleries forum. Your room looks very nice and those banners are wonderful! I need to show my brother-in-law your pics of them as he is also a huge GoT fan.

Nice work Yungheat. It is great to finally see what you have put together, after the questions you have asked me on the boards and via PM over the years. I gave you a much deserved 10. If you don't mind sharing, where did you purchase the Game of Thrones banners from?

Not just yours, and probably saw others that have same...

Why is your couch up against the back wall?

Move it...and the other one down, at least 5' off the wall. Then your rear speakers are at the correct 115°.

Never understood a purpose built viewing room designed with seating in the incorrect spot.

But...

Seating not withstanding...

Nice layout and decor.

What is so hard to understand about the ITU Standard?

Movies are mixed with THE EXPECTATION(in other words, according to ITU) that your seat...is in the middle of all 5(or 7) speakers.

Audyssey/YPAO/MCACC/AccuEQ(etc) exist mainly for those that don't arrange their room to the ITU Standard.

There is no way I can put my couch in the middle of the room it's pretty far off the wall though and it's sound fantastic to me so but I understand your point

No one brought up the ITU standard so don't suggest people don't understand it and stop with the condescending information.

Middle of the speakers...

There is no 7.1 here. 5 speakers(with 115°) means you should be around 60%. So...15' room means 9'.

At 9', a 1080P image is supposed to be 90"-110".

The only room I follow the "image equals distance" is my theatre. Sit 9.5' from a 120". I mainly watch 2.35...Which works out to 108".

Every other display is around 2/3 the size...
