Well, The geeks squad agent Just left a bit ago. My Dead panasonic plasma Lives!! He replaced both boards and thought they had sent a bad board as the screen had lines, but he had the ribbon cables not aligned. He fixed it and it's great! All my settings are in tact. One be frustration over, And it was covered under my warranty from panasonic. I wanted to add a question too:
I got to have a very personable chat with the agent, and He's thinks, a future buy might be an LED backlight LCD, he said they're a lot better then plasma as far as blacks go, and as far as reliability goes. I wouldn't mind trying an LED backlight tv once larger screens come down in price range and I mean under 1,000 dollars. In fact, He said that LCD reproduces much better then plasma in quality. From the cheap LCDs i've seen I would say that's false, but what about the more expensive ones? I know my sony ex400 32" has a great picture, But I want to say from a distance, the plasma seems to still have deeper richer colors especially for SD content. I'm curious as to what people here think about these points, Thanks. Last edited by MacinMan; 07-22-2010 at 08:04 PM. |
