Default Mel Gibson's Get the Gringo

Nice to see Mel back in an old school type action film that were his bread and butter back in the day. Unfortunately this won't be seen in theaters, it's going straight to VOD via DirecTV in May, followed by a Blu ray release.

The second half of the trailer (specifically from when Peter Stormare entered) is what sold me. Looks like it could be really entertaining.

Or as quickly.

Maybe Val Kilmer can give him some advice on how to work the straight to video market titles.

This looks alright. I think Mel should be focusing on directing... another great film like Braveheart, The Passion, Apocalypto, will make people forget about the nonsense personal stuff.

Indeed, he has quite the talent directing. This movie looks entertaining enough based on the trailer.

There is no straight-to-video advice. You just take as much money for the last amount of work as possible. Just ask Michael Madsen.

I guess Cuba Gooding is trying hard to be a straight-to-video action star, but usually it's just the Lance Henriksen school of sleepwalking when a "name" appears in a cheap direct-to-video flick.

Straight to Video actors still make a lot of money, ask Van Damme, Segal and Lundgren.. they still make $$ because they still have a HUGE fan base.

I like Mel Gibson both as a director and actor, and this trailer looks pretty cool, I'll blind buy

It's a shame the industry has turned their back on him, yet people like Polanski are still welcome. I have a feeling it wont be until Mel dies when Hollywood will say damn, we should have given him a second chance just like everyone else.

But anyway, I dont want to change the subject from this film, to the whole Gibson rant mess.

Maybe next Gibson can direct a movie starring Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan. That should get some attention.

agreed, great actor/Director. it's a shame to see people shun him when you got whack Jobs like Sean Penn, Roman Polanksi , and others still accepted in Hollywood.
