Default Need help with PS3 Mic

What am I doing wrong!

Please help guys and gals. My official PS3 mic does not transmit sound to the game I am playing. It works on its own so I know the mic is not the problem. It is paired to my PS3 (I believe) as the voice changer and volume control on the xmb work. I can hear other players, (sometimes to clearly) but when I say something, the icon on the top right of my screen does not show up and no one can hear me (I know this as I have tried playing with friends and they do not hear me).

in the xmb, under settings, accessory settings, audio device settings, the input and output are set to the mic.

It would be nice to warn other players and contribute more to the games.

And I looked for this problem in other threads and found no answers.

Do you have NAT Type 2? You can check by going to Network Settings > Setting and Connection Status List and scroll to the bottom.

Under the NAT Type, all it has is a - mark.

It said this as the PS3 was not logged on. Tried your link and got some good info. Logged on the PS3 and it came back as NAT type 1. This is the best I think.

Yes anything above 1 is going to net you some kind of restrictions on something.

Do not know if this is relevant, but under

Audio Device Settings - Microphone Level, it will not allow me to change it from 3.

Next to the input and output devices, there is a blue dot and both are set to wireless headset.

Well I guess since all your setting are right you could try to re-synch the headset. If you need someone to test the headset with you can try voice chat with me. MorsCassio.
