I did a dumbass search for throw size and found it. I'm a dumbass. But - still could use help with the wiring.
I have a Sony blu ray system and the wires to the speakers are not long. They are hard wired in the speakers, and the plug to the blu ray is Sony built. So, I can't just get extension. If I purchase speaker wire, cut in the center of the sony wires, attach and tape the new wires, would this work? I can't think of any reason it wouldn't. But, I don't know all that much. THANK YOU in ADVANCE Last edited by vanlutz; 04-30-2021 at 02:09 AM. |

It would work, but each cut and connection could reduce the signal quality (and if it's anything like the similar Sony setup I had an age ago, the wires are so thin already.)
If you did do it, I would look into soldering the joins you make with a high quality solder. I did a quick Google and there is stuff sold as audiophile grade, which would be what I'd go for. |
